Selecting a trustworthy domain registrar is essential for the security and success of your online business. The article highlights how Trustname aims to be a reliable partner in this process. It outlines the company's approach to handling complaints, emphasizing fairness, transparency and a commitment to international laws. Key Takeaways [Component][List][Markers] Custom Trustname's Complaint System – It evaluates complaints against your domain name using a rigorous process, with a focus on fairness and legal criteria. Presumption of Innocence – Trustname operates on the principle that customers are innocent until proven guilty, ensuring we won't take action against a domain just because a complaint has been filed. Global Legal Perspective – Trustname acknowledges the global nature of the internet and considers international laws and jurisdictions when resolving disputes. Focused Authority – As a domain registrar, Trustname has limited authority. While we can take action on a domain name in the event of clear DNS abuse, we cannot affect a website's content unless we host the site as well. Adherence to Regulations – The company is bound by laws in Estonia, its location, as well as ICANN policies, ensuring a robust legal framework for all its operations. Understanding the DNS Ecosystem and Registrar Authority The Limited Yet Focused Authority of Trustname Adhering to Laws and Regulations Across Jurisdictions The Golden Principle of Self-Doubt in Practice Transparency & Ethical Considerations in Internet Governance The Role of Trustname in the Complex Digital Landscape In a world where online visibility directly translates to more sales, your domain names hold the keys to the success of your business. Because of this, choosing a reliable registrar is vital to having a secure, credible, and visible website. But with so many registrars not able to deliver on their promises, Trustname is one of the few names you can count on. So, let’s explore how we can be a trusted ally that empowers your online journey. Navigating The Challenges of Domain Registration A domain name is more than just a web address; it is a valuable asset that propels the success of your business online. This has led to an increase in fraudulent attacks aimed at extorting money from you or penalizing your website. These rotten eggs register false complaints and then demand a substantial fee to have their complaints removed. Some of your competitors may also make false complaints in an attempt to have your website taken down. [Component][Callout] Wrapper - Success Insert title here [Component][Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> To address these challenges, Trustname has implemented a comprehensive complaint-handling system aligned with the DNS Abuse Framework. We operate under the principle that our customers are acting in good faith and that their businesses are legitimate unless proven otherwise by a valid court order. Our team carefully reviews every report and works to protect our customers’ rights throughout the process. Rigorous Complaint Evaluation Process Before taking any action, we thoroughly evaluate each complaint in accordance with strict legal criteria. You can visit our Abuse Reporting Procedures to gain detailed insights into how we handle complaints related to your domain. However, we recognize the complexity of each case and understand that not all issues can be resolved by only us that’s why we have established a specific complaint procedure. [Component][Callout] Wrapper - Warning Insert title here [Component][Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> We don’t accept complaints via email instead, they must be submitted through a detailed form process that requires comprehensive evidence and thorough information. Presumption of Innocence & International Considerations We firmly believe that you’re innocent until proven guilty, so you can rest assured that we’ll never take any action simply because a complaint has been made. This principle is crucial when addressing online cases, as what might seem illicit in one region could be entirely legal in another. Trustname recognizes the global nature of the Internet, where diverse populations rely on it to grow their businesses. Our commitment to the presumption of innocence ensures that we carefully consider each case, recognizing the differences and legal variations that exist across various countries. Example: How Would We Resolve a Real-Life Dispute? Let’s consider a real-world scenario that illustrates the complexities we navigate at Trustname. Imagine a patient in Uganda who urgently needs life-saving medication but lacks a prescription because of his country's weak healthcare system. After a quick search, he finds an online pharmacy based in India that sells prescription medications. Although unlicensed in the United States, this Pharmacy operates legally in India, providing critical medications such as generic anti-HIV and hepatitis C drugs, as well as antibiotics, at affordable prices. It ships worldwide, including to Uganda. Then, when US citizens begin to access this pharmacy, we receive complaints that the website should be shut down for operating without a valid license. However, patients from developing countries rely on this pharmacy for vital medicines due to geographic and financial constraints, as well as limited access to patented, life-saving drugs. It’s understandable - from a U.S. perspective, this pharmacy might be considered rogue for operating without a valid license. So how will Trustname act? In such a case, we approach it by carefully analyzing these factors: [Component][List][Markers] Custom Legal jurisdictions – We assess the pharmacy's compliance with laws in its operating country and international regulations. Patient needs – We recognize the critical need for access to essential medications, especially in developing regions, and assess the impact of closing the pharmacy. Ethical evaluation – We weigh the importance of enforcing regulations against the potential harm caused by restricting access to life-saving drugs. To resolve this issue, Trustname will not penalize the online pharmacy but instead find a balanced resolution that respects legal requirements while prioritizing public health and access to essential medicines. Understanding the DNS Ecosystem and Registrar Authority As registrars, our role goes beyond just domain registration. When you register a web address with Trustname or through one of our resellers, you initiate a series of processes that occur behind the scenes. We are responsible for managing domain databases and web hosting services that connect domain names to physical servers. We ensure that users navigating the web have access to data, often unaware of what we do. The Limited Yet Focused Authority of Trustname Our authority is derived from our compliance with ICANN policies and the DNS Abuse Framework, but it is both focused and limited in scope. We can punish a domain name, but the content associated with it remains accessible through its IP address. This illustrates why content-related complaints are often better directed at web hosting providers. We can only take action on a website if it is also hosted on our web servers, i.e., the domain owner has also purchased web hosting from us. If you want to create a website that is accessible through your domain name, you’ll likely choose a web hosting service that offers a website builder and server space. When you set up your website, you instruct your domain registrar to associate your domain name with the name servers provided by your web host. These name servers are crucial in directing traffic to your web hosting service. Once this setup is complete, when someone enters your domain name into a web browser such as Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, the browser queries the name servers associated with your domain. These name servers then redirect the user to your website’s IP address, a unique identifier such as "192.0.43.7" or "2620:0:2d0:200::7". This IP address is what identifies your site’s hosted data on the internet. Adhering to Laws and Regulations Across Jurisdictions [Component][List][Markers] Custom Just like in real life, navigating the internet requires following a diverse array of laws and regulations. Trustname operates under the legal frameworks of multiple jurisdictions and the contractual obligations set forth by ICANN, with compliance monitored and enforced by ICANN’s Contractual Compliance Department. We manage domain names for customers (registrants) and must comply with ICANN’s Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) as well as each registry’s contract, known as a Registry-Registrar Agreement (RRA). This includes various responsibilities such as collecting domain owner contact information and publishing it in public Whois records (which is why you need Trustname's Domain Privacy Protection), providing transfer codes upon request, and responding to abuse reports as required. Additionally, we must adhere to consensus policies established by ICANN’s diverse community of Internet stakeholders. These policies, which focus on the administration of the DNS, are developed by working groups within the community and approved by the ICANN Board of Directors. As a registrar, Trustname is subject to the laws of the jurisdictions in which it operates. Specifically, we adhere to regulations in Estonia and can only be influenced by court orders issued in Estonia, as that’s where we are physically located. The Golden Principle of Self-Doubt In Practice We helped draft the DNS Abuse Framework, which outlines our stance on various categories of abuse. However, following these rules can sometimes be challenging and this is where our Golden Principle of Self-Doubt comes into play. This principle guides us to err on the side of caution, provide avenues for appeal, and consult with experts when necessary. Transparency and Ethical Considerations In Internet Governance Transparency is a key component of our approach. At Trustname, we know that the Internet can be complex and occasionally chaotic. This is why we value its freedom and diversity while being aware of its challenges. To promote accountability and openness, Trustname publishes regular transparency reports detailing how we handle legal requests, abuse complaints, and domain-related actions. These reports provide insight into our processes and reinforce our commitment to due process and responsible internet governance. When addressing complaints, we strive to strike a balance between adhering to the rules and considering fairness. This ensures that we listen to everyone before taking any action. [+] [Notice] Info Insert title here [+] [Notice] Title -> [+] [Notice] Title The Role of Trustname In the Complex Digital Landscape In a world where people often fail to play fair, we at Trustname are deeply committed to fair governance, adhering to the rules and transparency. This is why we proudly carry the responsibility of being the most trusted domain registrar in the modern digital age.

We have prepared this Refund Policy to explain when you can request a refund with respect to products and services acquired from Trustname or through us from our partners and/or affiliates (collectively “Services”). General Terms Please be aware that by completing your purchase, you explicitly agreed to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy, which clearly state: “All sales are final. No refunds. No exceptions.” However, in certain cases, and solely at Trustname’s discretion, a refund may be granted if we determine that the level of service provided did not meet reasonable expectations—please note that in most cases, refund requests will be declined. In no event is the same Service eligible for more than one refund. Service(s) must be cancelled before we can issue a refund. No refunds will be made for domains that are involved in any type of abuse, including but not limited to trademark infringement. This includes domains that are the subject of and/or involved in a trademark infringement allegation and/or proceeding. No refund will be made if your Service(s) are suspended or terminated for cause. If purchased Service(s) include free domain name registration or a free SSL certificate as part of a promotion or sale of the Service(s), and you cancel the purchased Service(s), the standard price for the domain name or SSL certificate will be deducted from the refund amount. If the refund amount is less than the standard price for the domain or SSL certificate, you must either elect to pay the difference or forfeit the domain, in which case, ownership of the domain will revert back to Trustname. All refunds are processed in U.S. dollars: you, the customer, bear sole responsibility for any fluctuations in the exchange rate(s) between the time of payment and the time of refund. Unless specifically requested otherwise, all refunds are credited to your Trustname account balance. Orders paid via Trustname account funds can only be refunded as account credit. Payments made via credit card or PayPal may be eligible for a refund to the original payment method (see important note below). Cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable, and no exceptions can be made. If you choose to have your refund issued to your original payment method (such as a credit card or PayPal), you agree that — for compliance reasons — any future transactions using that same payment method will be permanently blocked. For future purchases and renewals, you will have the option to pay using your account balance or cryptocurrency only. Trustname is not liable for any fees, conversion costs, or delays imposed by your bank, credit card issuer, or PayPal in the case of a refund. Any processing fee(s) will be deducted from a refund. Additional refund requirements may apply based on specific terms and conditions notified to you when purchasing any Service(s). The purpose of the refund is for customers to try and understand whether the services provided by Trustname suit their needs. In any way, Trustname will not tolerate abusive usage of refunds (i.e., refunding the same services multiple times and (or) repetitively purchasing and asking for a refund for services purchased in bulk, etc.). Chargebacks If at any time, we record a decline, chargeback, reversal, payment dispute, risk of payment fraud or other rejection of a charge of any payable fees on your Trustname account (“Chargeback”), this will be considered as a breach of your payment obligations hereunder, therefore you agree that Trustname may pursue all available lawful remedies in order to obtain payment, including but not limited to, immediate termination, without notice to you, of your Trustname account and any domain names or Trustname services registered or renewed on your behalf (“Services”). In addition, this will also result in disabling the option to checkout with a credit card for your Trustname account to limit the risk of payment fraud. Your use of the Trustname Services and the ability to checkout using credit card will not resume until you: verify the payment method used for the disputed transaction, either by providing: proof of the payment; or a simple censored photo of the credit card, with uncovered first 6 (six) and last 4 (four) digits. pay any applicable fees in full, including any fees and expenses incurred by Trustname and/or any third party services for each Chargeback received (including fees for Trustname Services provided prior to the Chargeback, handling and processing charges and fees incurred by the payment processor). Cases related to criminal fraud chargebacks or obvious payment fraud (i.e. cases where compromised credit card details were used to make purchases) will result in permanent service termination without any option to recover. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a payment made to Trustname, we encourage you to first contact our Customer Support team before filing a Chargeback or reversal of payment, in order to prevent the Trustname Services from being canceled and your Trustname account being blocked, and to avoid the filing of an unwarranted or erroneous Chargeback, which may result in your being liable for its applicable fees, in addition to re-payment of all the fees applicable to the Trustname Services purchased (and charged-back) by you. We reserve our right to dispute any Chargeback received, including by providing the relevant credit card company or financial institution with any information and documentation proving that the User responsible for such Chargeback did in fact authorize the transaction and make use of the Services rendered thereafter. (Last Modified August 24, 2025) Trustname operates as a domain registrar committed to protecting user privacy and freedom of speech, offering robust protection through a unique multi-jurisdictional privacy protection service. Although Trustname is designed for anyone who values online security and privacy, the use of our services for harmful or seriously illegal activities is strictly prohibited. Key Takeaways [Component][List][Markers] Custom Exceptional Privacy – Your data stays safe with us. If anyone ever wants access to the domain owner or hosting details, they'd need court orders from three different jurisdictions - The USA, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Estonia at the same time. We call it the Bulletproof Privacy Service. Free Speech with Clear Limits – Trustname disregards US DMCA notices, but strictly prohibits activities that we classify as hardcore illegal, such as selling weapons or drugs containing opioids, or distributing child abuse material. Standard Expiration Policy – Domains are expensive to recover after a 30-day grace period and can be permanently lost to the public if renewal is missed. Total User Responsibility – You are fully responsible for the content and any legal matters related to your domain. To help minimize potential risks, we recommend registering domains with our Suggested Proxy Contact as the default option. Obey the Rules – Breaking the rules can lead to service termination, loss of all paid fees, and the takedown of all your associated domains. [Component][Callout] Wrapper - Info Insert title here [Component][Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> [Component][Callout] Title Trustname's stance is simple The Internet should be free for all, and everyone should have freedom of speech online. However, we recognize that some individuals exploit the freedom of the internet to promote illegal content, and we strongly condemn this practice. At Trustname, our goal is to make the internet and hopefully, the world a better and safer place. While profit isn't our primary focus, we still need to earn enough to provide strong legal protection for our users and team against scammers and other malicious individuals. We created Trustname to support developers, activists, journalists, NGOs, and anyone else working for the greater good. [Component][Notice] Wrapper - Error Scamming people for money or distributing dangerous drugs like opioids does nothing to improve the world, so we will never protect that kind of content. Follow our simple rules to access a powerful domain management portal backed by robust privacy protection. Trustname offers a one of a kind Two-Tier Domain Privacy service that replaces your personal contact information in the Whois database with proxy addresses in two encryption stages, unlike other domain registrars that only encrypt once. [Component][Callout] Wrapper - Info Insert title here [Component][Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> We are committed to strictly protecting your personal information and will never share your details unless compelled to do so by court orders in three jurisdictions simultaneously - The United States, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Estonia. We understand that your domain is easily the most essential part of your brand online, and Trustname provides the most fortified vault for your domain. What makes our signature two-tier domain privacy protection truly top-tier? Besides getting a proxy of a proxy to hide your details, we use security companies in two regions to mask your contact information. The results? Anyone looking to obtain your domain name details will need to obtain court orders from the two regions where our privacy service providers are located (The United States and Saint Kitts), as well as from Estonia, where we are based. [Component][Callout] Wrapper - Success Insert title here [Component][Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> Trustname makes it incredibly hard to find your domain registration contact details (even legally). We decided to set up this Tri-Region hurdle to access your domain name details for good reason. Let's see how: [Component][List][Number] Custom The USA – The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), major registries, payment processors, and IT service providers are based in the United States. It's incredibly easy for anyone to get a court order in the U.S. for access to contact information linked to domains involved in illegal activities such as the sale of firearms, drugs, or the distribution of child abuse material. Simply put, don't engage in any of these activities. Saint Kitts and Nevis – Our Whois privacy partner, Harakiri, is located in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Obtaining such a court order in the Caribbean Islands is logistically challenging, as there are no direct flights to Nevis; the applicant may need to arrange private transportation. That's exactly why we chose this location for your domain protection. Tip: Check with your travel agent or contact Royal Caribbean for assistance. Estonia – And then finally, Estonia, where Trustname is located. Anyone requesting access to a domain name's information must obtain an official order from a court in Estonia. We deliberately established our headquarters and security partners in three different regions because if we were all in the same region, a single court order might be sufficient to obtain your domain information but we are smarter than that. Why Is Trustname In Europe? Since Trustname is headquartered in Estonia, Europe, if the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) - a law that has caused many webmasters to lose their domains issues a takedown notice on your domain, we'll turn a deaf ear to them. We are not bound by a DMCA takedown notice since it is issued in the US and we are outside the US's jurisdiction. Like Elon Musk, we have a strong aversion to individuals who exploit the DMCA, as we believe it lacks legal authority for the vast majority of the world's population living outside the United States. [Component] Quote "Overzealous DMCA is a plague on humanity." - Elon Musk Just Don't At Trustname, we proudly side with you during domain disputes; however, to ensure the security of your domain and avoid repetitive complaints that may cause issues. Please refrain from engaging in the following activities: [Component][List][Number] Custom Spamming – Using your domain name to send unsolicited messages to people in bulk. Phishing – Posing as another brand to ride on its reputation and to get information from the brand's customers. Network abuse – hosting viruses, spam, spying, hacking, etc. DDoS attacks of any kind – Using an extensive network of computers and devices to overwhelm the traffic-handling capacity of a website or app. C&C nodes, botnets or bots. These rules outline our expectations for our customers to ensure a safe web for everyone: [Component][List][Markers] Custom Payment Terms – On Trustname, you'll need to make payments for services such as domain registration or hosting upfront. Your domain name will only be registered and tied to your account after we receive your payment. For Bitcoin payments, you'll need to wait for confirmation. Unpaid Fees – If your renewal fees are not paid, we offer a grace period of up to 30 days, during which you can renew your valuable domains at the standard price. However, after that, another registrant may be able to claim them. Access to your DNS settings for your domain name may also be disconnected, especially if it's the only service you're using from us. You can find more details in What Happens When My Domain Expires? Automatic Billing – If you subscribed for auto-renewals while purchasing a service, we'll charge your card for renewals. We advise customers to set up auto-renewals so their domains don't expire. However, you can always turn off your auto-renewal in your settings - not all companies offer this option, but we do. We understand that retrieving an expired domain is significantly more difficult, and it's safer to leave your auto renewals on, but we don't require you to. Your Responsibility – You own your domains and websites, and you have complete control over how they are used. If your domain name and websites are involved in activities that violate the law, Trustname will bear no responsibility, and we will take action we deem necessary. Advocacy and Legal Compliance – We support our clients and strictly follow Estonian law. We will always require a local court order, subpoena, or warrant before taking action and will notify you of any requests made to your domain name, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. Our Famous Two-Tier Privacy Protection (2TP) – Your privacy is our #1 concern. We only disclose your domain contact information in response to a court order, subpoena, or warrant issued simultaneously in three jurisdictions: the United States, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Estonia. Abuse and Enforcement – Trustname strictly prohibits internet abuse. If we detect spamming, phishing, involvement in botnets, launching DDoS attacks, or any other form of network abuse, we will be compelled to shut down your services and report the incident to the relevant authorities and security experts. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in cases of DDoS abuse detected within our system. Fraud Prevention – For fraudulent activities, such as using stolen credit cards, initiating a chargeback without contacting our support team, or bouncing a check, we reserve the right to delist your services and may contact the relevant authorities. Guilt-by-Association – If one of your domains or websites engages in illegal activity and violates our specified rules, we'll take down the culprit domain and may also take down any other domains you have with us, even if they're under different names or accounts. Scam Department of Pre-Crime & De-Risk – We reserve the right to terminate your services if investigations show that you've engaged in fraudulent activity. For example, attempting to register a close-match domain intended for phishing (e.g., using the 'paypal-login-reset.online' domain to scam PayPal customers) will result in your domain being de-listed immediately. We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate your services if we believe that your activities pose a risk to us or our customers. Refunds issued under these circumstances will deduct any incurred costs. Valid Contact Information – It's crucial to provide accurate contact data, especially email addresses, when you purchase our services. If you prefer not to have your information publicly displayed in the Whois database, you can use our signature two-tier Whois privacy protection service (2TP). Providing false contact information violates our rules and the requirements of ICANN for truthful Whois information. However, you can enable our Two-Tier Domain Privacy Protection, which utilizes privacy proxies and Whois privacy protection services from Harakiri (Perfect Privacy LLC) and WHOISPPS (Whois Privacy Protection Service LLC) to mask your details from the public. Updated Account Information – Whenever any issues arise or actions are required from you, we will need to reach you, especially via email. If we can't contact you through the details you provided, we may need to make decisions without you. However, as a general rule, we will always contact you before taking any action, such as imposing restrictions (which are incredibly unlikely). Payment Terms for Monthly Services – For services that are billed monthly, automatic renewal is required. We use Stripe for credit card payments, ensuring your card information isn't stored on our servers. PayPal subscriptions and crypto payments require sufficient funds in your account. Bitcoin payments are processed through our payment gateway, while Coinpayments handle other cryptocurrencies (altcoins and stablecoins). Data Retention Policy – We keep your information for 3 years after your last paid service ends. However, your websites, emails, and backed-up data may be deleted 45 days after they become overdue - 15 days after the 30-day grace period. Email Communications – Trustname will send you emails for renewal notices, invoices, system status updates, important network event notifications, and ICANN notifications. You can manage your email notification preferences in your email settings. Adhesion Contracts – As an ICANN-accredited registrar, we adhere to specific rules and regulations set by the governing body, including the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy and, for some domains, the CoreHUB Registration Agreement. Designated Agent – By selecting Trustname as your designated agent, you authorize us to handle your domain registration changes according to the ICANN Transfer Policy. Compliance with the Law – Simply put, HYIPs, Ponzi schemes, theft and other illegal activities are strictly prohibited and will result in the suspension of your account. Non-Aggression Principle – We adhere to the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) and will shut down sites involved in harmful activities like child exploitation or promoting hate groups like the Nazis or the KKK. By registering your domain with Trustname, you agree to these terms and promise to only host content that promotes voluntaryism and the progress it represents in human society. Free Speech Zone – At Trustname, we support free speech. However, while we defend every person's right to speak the truth, we won't support harmful content. Harmful content violates the NAP. Responsibility for User Generated Content – If you're a service provider hosting user generated content, we recommend that you address any abuse complaints within 24 hours of our notification. Depending on the nature and the validity of these complaints about the content being generated on your platform, failing to resolve them may result in service termination. Filesharing and BitTorrent Sites – If you operate file sharing or BitTorrent sites, DMCA notices don't apply to us. However, if complaints are made within the region whose jurisdiction we fall under, failing to resolve them may result in a court order and lead to action taken against your domain. Manage these requests promptly to avoid issues. Online Pharmacies – Websites selling drugs online must meet at least one of the following requirements: possess a valid pharmacy license for any country to which they ship, or be approved by an online pharmacy association, such as PharmacyChecker, LegitScript, the Canadian International Pharmacy Association, or a similar alternative body. We recognize the importance of patients in developing countries having access to life-saving medicines. We support online pharmacies shipping anti-HIV or malaria medicines or even selling generic sildenafil to patients in need sexual health is a basic human need. We won't take any action against a legitimate online pharmacy simply because a complaint was made by another company that is threatened by their lower prices. DDoS Protection Policy – We offer DDoS protection; however, our services are not intended for use as a budget DDoS guard. If you face a DDoS attack, contact us first for assistance. Deliberate misuse of our DDoS protection may result in termination of service. No refunds on domain names and associated services – We do not offer refunds for domain names and associated services, and no exceptions will be made. Make sure to double-check the services you purchase and the spellings of domain names before completing a payment. Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) – Our SLAs ensure your satisfaction and a money-back guarantee for SSL certificates and particular services under certain conditions. Third-Party DNS – Your Trustname dashboard may provide convenient access to DNS-management functionality operated by an independent third-party DNS provider. Trustname does not operate the underlying authoritative DNS network. You are always free to use another DNS provider by changing your domain's nameservers. If you decide these services are not for you, we will give a full refund for annual payments. For annual services, we'll refund 3 month's fees. If you experience any downtime, you receive complimentary access for that month. To learn more about our commitment to you, see Why Your Domain Name Is Safe with Us. Domain Expiration Cycle – Be aware of your domain's expiration date. Here's the timeline to keep in mind: During the Grace period (1–30 days after expiration), you can still renew your domain name at the standard rate or transfer it out. In the Redemption period (31–60 days after expiration or the next 30 days after the Grace period ends), you can still renew your domain, but you'll need to pay a higher fee, usually over $129. If you don't renew your domain during the redemption period, your domain name moves on to Pending Delete status. After the Pending-Delete period (61–65 days after expiration or the next 5 days after the Redemption period ends), the domain is released back to the public. It can be acquired by a new registrant. Once a domain reaches the Pending-Delete status, it's too late to recover it. You will have to compete with other bidders once again as if you were buying a new domain. If your domain name is particularly valuable, there's a high chance that it will be quickly taken off the market by "drop catchers" once it's available. In summary, don't let your high-value domain name expire because there's no guarantee you’ll ever get it again. Keep your payment information up to date and always set up an iCal feed for your domain expirations. Zombie Domains – We may redirect traffic from domains we considered "abandoned" in various ways. Abandoned domains may include those that are not associated with a user but are listed on our name servers, expired domains, web addresses using non-functional vanity nameservers that point back to us, and domains suspended for rule violations. Crypto Payments – Refunds for crypto payments will be issued by check in fiat currency and mailed to the account holder's address. For bank account transfers, we will need to perform complete KYC verifications before we grant your refunds. Support – We provide support to our customers and handle support requests in English only. Legal documents must be translated into English by a certified translator and notarized before submission. Non-Disparagement – By accepting our terms, you agree not to publicly disparage Trustname, ensuring fair feedback and preventing harmful content. Feedback Protocol – If you are ever dissatisfied with any of our services, please inform Trustname so we can resolve the issue and make it right where possible, rather than posting a negative review on review sites. We can’t address issues we're unaware of. The existence of a request does not itself establish an entitlement to personal Registration Data. PRIVACY AND PROXY SERVICES 10. Suggested Default Contact Proxy Service For eligible registrations using Suggested Default Contact, Perfect Privacy LLC acts as the Registered Name Holder and Proxy Service Provider. The end customer is the P/P Customer and licensee and is not the Registered Name Holder while the Proxy Service remains active. The P/P Customer must nevertheless provide Trustname with accurate underlying contact information. Trustname maintains the required underlying customer information in non-public registrar records. Trustname may process that information for: [+] [List] Green Unordered domain administration; operation of the Proxy Service; verification; security; fraud prevention; abuse investigation; regulatory compliance; support; Registrar Data Escrow; legal obligations; dispute resolution; lawful disclosure; and enforcement of applicable agreements. Trustname may provide underlying information to Perfect Privacy LLC where reasonably necessary for Perfect Privacy LLC to perform its obligations as Registered Name Holder, administer the Proxy Service, respond to a legally sufficient requirement, address an applicable domain dispute, or comply with the agreements governing the registration. Underlying customer information is not made public merely because Suggested Default Contact is used. 11. Privacy and Proxy Providers For eligible Domain Name registrations, Trustname may use privacy and proxy services provided by independent providers, including Perfect Privacy LLC and WHOIS Privacy Protection Service LLC (“WHOISPPS”). 11.1 Provider Roles Depending on the privacy or proxy configuration applicable to a particular Domain Name, either Perfect Privacy LLC or WHOISPPS may act as the Registered Name Holder and Proxy Service Provider. Either provider may also perform a Privacy Service, masking, alternative-contact, forwarding or communication-relay function without acting as the Registered Name Holder where the applicable configuration provides for such a role. The applicable role is determined at the individual Domain Name level. The appearance of a provider's information in RDAP, RDDS, WHOIS or another registration-data output does not, by itself, determine whether that provider is the Registered Name Holder. 11.2 Processing by an Applicable Privacy Registrant Where Perfect Privacy LLC or WHOISPPS acts as Registered Name Holder or Proxy Service Provider, Trustname may process information reasonably necessary to: establish and administer the applicable proxy-registration arrangement; maintain accurate registration records; provide Domain Name management functionality; administer renewals and transfers; process permitted registration-data changes; provide required notices; satisfy Registry or ICANN requirements; administer disputes or compliance matters; and comply with applicable law or valid legal process. Trustname limits processing and disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and legal basis. 11.3 Additional Privacy or Relay Provider Where Perfect Privacy LLC, WHOISPPS or another approved provider acts solely as an additional Privacy Service Provider, Trustname may use alternative contact details, routing identifiers or communication-relay information supplied by that provider. Trustname does not provide the P/P Customer's underlying personal Registration Data to an additional Privacy Service Provider merely for the purpose of operating standard masking, alternative-contact or communication-relay functionality. If additional processing becomes reasonably necessary for a particular service request, compliance requirement, security matter, legal obligation or other permitted purpose, Trustname will process or disclose only information reasonably necessary for that purpose and only where an appropriate legal basis exists. 11.4 Changes in Provider or Configuration The privacy or proxy configuration applicable to a Domain Name may change during the registration lifecycle. This may include: a change in which provider acts as Registered Name Holder; a change in which provider supplies an additional Privacy Service; a change in privacy contact or relay information; or another modification required for technical, contractual, Registry, ICANN, security or legal reasons. Where such a change requires Trustname to process personal data differently, Trustname will do so in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Where a modification constitutes a Change of Registrant under applicable ICANN policy, the applicable procedure is governed by the Domain Registration Agreement rather than this Privacy Policy. 11.5 Underlying Customer Data Trustname may collect and retain underlying P/P Customer and registration information even where a Privacy or Proxy Service is active. Such information may be processed for purposes including: service administration; account security; verification; Registrar Data Escrow; Registry and ICANN compliance; transfers; dispute handling; abuse or security investigations; legal compliance; and other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The collection, verification, retention or escrow of underlying customer data does not mean that such information is publicly disclosed. Public registration-data publication is handled in accordance with applicable ICANN Registration Data Policy requirements, Registry capabilities, applicable law and Trustname's Domain Registration Agreement. 12. Registrar Data Escrow Trustname deposits Registration Data into Registrar Data Escrow where required by applicable ICANN requirements. For Privacy and Proxy Services offered or made available by Trustname or an applicable affiliated provider, this may include the required underlying information concerning: [+] [List] Green Unordered customers of Privacy Services; and licensees of Proxy Services. Registrar Data Escrow is a non-public registration-data continuity safeguard. The inclusion of underlying information in escrow does not make that information public and does not, by itself, authorize its disclosure to third parties. Data held in escrow is subject to the applicable escrow arrangement and ICANN requirements. 13. Transfers to Registry Operators A Registry Operator may require Trustname to transmit certain Registration Data in order to create, maintain, renew, transfer or administer a Domain Name. The Registration Data transferred varies according to: [+] [List] Green Unordered TLD; Registry technical requirements; applicable ICANN policy; Registry agreements; applicable law; and the registration structure. Trustname seeks to transmit only the Registration Data required or otherwise permitted for the applicable purpose. Where applicable law requires a data-protection arrangement concerning such transfers, Trustname will use the applicable contractual or legal mechanism. 14. Public RDAP/RDDS Registration Data Trustname may publish or make Registration Data available through: [+] [List] Green Unordered RDAP; RDDS; WHOIS where still applicable; a Registry-operated registration-data service; or another applicable domain registration-data mechanism. The information published depends on: [+] [List] Green Unordered whether the registrant is a natural or legal person; applicable ICANN policy; applicable Registry implementation; TLD-specific requirements; use of a Privacy or Proxy Service; applicable law; and any valid consent to publication where consent is an appropriate legal basis. Personal data are not made public merely because they form part of Trustname's registrar records. Where Suggested Default Contact is active, Perfect Privacy LLC remains the Registered Name Holder. Where Two-Tier Privacy is enabled, applicable Privacy Service information or alternative contact mechanisms may be displayed to the extent permitted by applicable requirements. Underlying P/P Customer information is not made public merely because Trustname collects, verifies, retains or escrows it. 15. Legal-Person Registration Data Registration Data relating to a company or other legal person may be treated differently from data relating to a natural person. Where applicable law requires publication of non-personal Domain Name Registration Data concerning a legal person, Trustname may publish the required information. A registration record concerning a legal person can still contain personal data—for example, a named employee's email address or telephone number. Where appropriate, Trustname may distinguish between personal and non-personal elements of a legal-person registration before publication. 16. Requests for Non-Public Registration Data Trustname may receive requests for access to non-public Registration Data from: [+] [List] Green Unordered law-enforcement authorities; courts; governmental authorities; cybersecurity authorities; CERTs or CSIRTs; dispute-resolution providers; intellectual-property rights holders; security researchers; legal representatives; other legitimate access seekers; or other persons asserting a lawful basis for access. A request does not automatically create a right to disclosure. Depending on the request, Trustname may assess: [+] [List] Green Unordered requester identity; authority to act; legal basis; jurisdiction; purpose; specificity; supporting evidence; necessity; proportionality; requested data; data minimization; applicable Privacy/Proxy procedures; legal restrictions; and procedural safeguards. Trustname may request further information where needed to evaluate a request. Trustname may reject, restrict or defer a request where it is: [+] [List] Green Unordered incomplete; inadequately substantiated; overly broad; disproportionate; unlawful; outside the requester's authority; inconsistent with applicable data-protection requirements; or otherwise insufficient to establish an appropriate basis for disclosure. Where applicable NIS2 implementing law requires a response to a lawful and duly substantiated request from a legitimate access seeker within a specific period, Trustname applies the legally required timeframe. Underlying P/P Customer data are not automatically disclosed merely because a standard Registration Data disclosure request has been submitted. Privacy and Proxy Service disclosure procedures may additionally apply. 17. Court Orders, Subpoenas and Government Requests Trustname reviews legal process before disclosing personal data. Depending on the circumstances, we may assess: [+] [List] Green Unordered authenticity; issuing authority; jurisdiction; enforceability; legal basis; scope; necessity; proportionality; and whether the requested information is held by Trustname. Trustname may seek clarification or additional documentation where appropriate. Trustname may disclose information where disclosure is legally required or otherwise supported by an applicable lawful basis. Where legally permitted and appropriate, Trustname may notify the affected customer before or after disclosure. Trustname may delay or withhold notice where: [+] [List] Green Unordered notification is legally prohibited; a binding order prohibits notification; notification would create a material security risk; notification could compromise a lawful investigation; or another valid legal basis exists. 18. UDRP, URS and Domain Dispute Proceedings Registration Data and related information may be processed or disclosed where reasonably necessary in connection with: [+] [List] Green Unordered UDRP proceedings; URS proceedings; court proceedings; applicable ccTLD dispute policies; Registry disputes; or another binding domain-name dispute mechanism. The existence of a trademark, copyright or other complaint does not automatically mean that underlying personal data will be disclosed. OTHER PROCESSING ACTIVITIES 19. Security, Fraud Prevention and Abuse Mitigation Trustname has legitimate interests in protecting: [+] [List] Green Unordered Accounts; customers; infrastructure; payment systems; Domain Names; Registry connections; APIs; DNS infrastructure; and the security and stability of the Domain Name System. We may therefore process information including: [+] [List] Green Unordered IP addresses; device information; browser signals; authentication history; transaction data; payment-risk signals; Account activity; support history; Registration Data; technical security indicators; and information provided in abuse or fraud reports. Trustname may associate technical or risk information with an Account where reasonably necessary to detect or investigate: [+] [List] Green Unordered account compromise; unauthorized access; fraud; phishing; malware; botnets; DNS Abuse; payment abuse; security incidents; or other harmful or unlawful activity. 20. Automated Processing and Profiling Trustname may use automated systems to assist with: [+] [List] Green Unordered fraud detection; payment-risk assessment; abuse detection; account security; technical verification; Registration Data validation; spam prevention; and transaction monitoring. Automated indicators may be used to prioritize or trigger manual review. Where applicable law restricts decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, Trustname will apply the legally required safeguards. Where applicable, you may request information or human review in accordance with your rights under applicable data-protection law. 21. Customer Support and Service Communications Trustname uses Account and contact information to: [+] [List] Green Unordered respond to support requests; investigate technical problems; authenticate customers; send security notifications; provide transaction confirmations; communicate Registry or ICANN notices; send renewal and expiration notices; communicate verification requests; notify you about Service changes; and provide other contractual or legally required communications. [+] [Notice] Success Insert title here [+] [Notice] Title -> [+] [Notice] Title Registrant Centric Approach to Dispute Resolution At Trustname, you have the final say over your domain; many other registrars don't seem to know that. We are the only registrar that prioritises your interests in any domain dispute. If your domain is reported, we'll notify you immediately. We will never use your web address as a bargaining chip in disputes or allow cybercriminals to leverage it to damage your brand's reputation. Unlike other registrars, we won't rush to seize your domain under pressure from bad actors or someone who simply doesn't like your content. Your rights and domain ownership are always our top priority. Our dedicated compliance team ensures that all domain disputes and abuse reports are handled fairly and transparently. When you trust us with your domain, we promise to always be your safe haven. How Trustname Responds To Abuse Reports To protect you and your brand's reputation from unfounded abuse claims, we've established a clear and effective abuse report policy. Here's how we handle abuse reports for your domain name: [+] [List] Green Ordered We receive abuse reports via a "Report Abuse" form, where the complainant gives all the necessary details. Abuse reports submitted from free or anonymous email services (e.g. @gmail.com, @proton.me) are subject to additional scrutiny. To ensure efficient processing and verification, we strongly recommend that organizations, particularly those in security, brand protection, or law enforcement, submit reports from a verifiable corporate or institutional email domain. For issues related to website content, servers, email systems, or other services hosted on third-party infrastructure, the hosting provider has direct operational control over those systems. Therefore, we advise that reports be directed to the relevant hosting provider, as they are typically best positioned to investigate and resolve such matters efficiently. Rest assured that we will promptly notify you of any abuse reports submitted regarding your domain, as you may not always be aware of the activity occurring on the associated services or infrastructure. After conducting our initial review, if any uncertainty remains, we will require credible and verifiable evidence to substantiate the abuse allegation before considering further action. This is to prevent false positives caused by fraudulent or misleading complaints. As part of the legal review, jurisdictional considerations are always assessed, and we verify that the jurisdiction from which a report originates has legal authority over both the registrant and the domain. If these jurisdictions do not align, the report undergoes additional checks to determine if there is a legitimate legal basis for the cross-border claim. Complainants submitting legal documentation from outside the European Union (EU) must proceed through the appropriate Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) channels to ensure compliance with EU legal standards. This formal intergovernmental process usually takes six to eight months. However, the jurisdiction requirement does not prevent the acceptance or standard review process of DNS Abuse reports. Rest assured that we will not take action against your domain name without first conducting a thorough review and confirming the existence of sufficient and verifiable evidence. This approach is designed to prevent false-positive suspensions and ensure that no restrictive measures are taken without proper proof. With our Two-tier domain privacy activated, we'll only disclose your contact information if compelled by three simultaneous court orders in Estonia, the US, and St. Kitts and Nevis. This legal requirement underscores our commitment to your privacy. We strongly recommend keeping Trustname's Two-tier privacy active to protect your valuable domains. It's enabled by default. As a pharmacy-friendly domain registrar, we recognise that the world needs easy access to healthcare, and we support brands that sell over-the-counter and prescription drugs for diseases such as malaria, hepatitis, HIV, AIDS, and other chronic conditions, particularly in developing countries. Webmasters specializing in Rx and healthcare are welcome! After notifying you of any report concerning your domain, we will carefully review the matter. Where appropriate and in cases of uncertainty, we will provide you, the domain registrant, with a reasonable opportunity to respond to the allegations and resolve any issues before taking further action. If you decide to transfer your domain, we will allow it unless restricted by a court order, UDRP proceeding, or another applicable legal requirement. [+] [Notice] Warning Insert title here [+] [Notice] Title -> [+] [Notice] Title Bulletproof Protection Against Automated & Commercial Abuse Claims Trustname’s Abuse Policy is particularly effective in addressing automated or bulk complaints submitted by commercial monitoring entities such as LegitScript LLC, BrandShield LTD, and Netcraft. While we review all reports carefully, commercially generated submissions—often filed on behalf of competitors—do not result in action without clear, verifiable evidence and proper legal grounds. Furthermore, as U.S.-based private organizations operating outside our European jurisdiction, such entities cannot influence our decision-making absent valid legal authority. Many webmasters today are extorted by cybercriminals who threaten to report their domains and have them banned unless their demands are met. Our Abuse Report Policy protects your domain name and brand's reputation from wrongful attempts to disrupt your website with fraudulent reports. Bulletproof Privacy Built on a Multi-Jurisdiction Framework At Trustname, Whois protection goes beyond the basics. While most registrars simply replace your Whois data with forwarding service details, we employ a multi-layered strategy across different legal jurisdictions. First, we replace your public WHOIS data with proxy company details located in different countries and regions to protect your registration and contact information. Next, we establish strict legal barriers before any WHOIS data can be accessed on our platform. Only valid court orders from three jurisdictions — the United States, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Estonia, where Trustname and its proxy providers operate — are accepted. In practice, this means a complaint would need to demonstrate that your activity violates laws in all three jurisdictions. By using multiple jurisdictions to protect your domain, we create a robust legal framework. While this approach is more costly, it reflects our commitment to safeguarding your WHOIS information at the highest level. Perfect Privacy LLC Formally Owns Your Domains (Optional) At Trustname, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. To further protect your privacy, we offer the option to register domain names under our proxy service, Perfect Privacy LLC. By default, domains are registered under Perfect Privacy LLC’s contact details rather than yours, unless you choose to modify the contact information in your domain settings. You should be aware that while Perfect Privacy LLC is listed as the registered proxy owner of the domain name, the proxy company merely acts as an intermediary. Perfect Privacy LLC does not have actual ownership of the domain name you are associated with. Ownership of the domain name is legally vested in you from the registration date. Trustname guarantees it. [+] [Notice] Error Insert title here [+] [Notice] Title -> [+] [Notice] Title Additional Layer of Legal Protection In the event of any legal issues related to your domain name, such matters will initially be addressed to Perfect Privacy LLC as the registered contact for the domain. The proxy company will act as the first point of contact for legal notices or disputes. Trustname will promptly notify you of any claims or actions related to your domain, giving you additional time to respond and handle the matter appropriately. You may request at any time that the domain registration be transferred to your name. Once completed, you will be officially listed as the domain owner with the relevant registry operator. To do this, simply update the domain’s contact information in your domain settings to reflect your details. Trustname: Five Principles We Live By At Trustname, we follow these principles to ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity in web address management and dispute resolution: [+] [List] Green Ordered Evidence-Based Action – Any report of domain abuse must be supported by clear and concrete evidence. This requirement discourages most complainants, and failure to provide evidence means we'll invalidate the report immediately. Your competitors will hate it. Legal Compliance – We operate in accordance with ICANN regulations and the laws of the jurisdictions where we are established, primarily Estonia. If a domain is found to violate applicable regulations, you still retain the option to transfer it to another registrar. Presumption of Innocence – We presume your business is always legitimate and you are innocent until proven otherwise. We won't take action against a domain without substantial evidence or legal direction. Sanctions or actions are only considered a last resort, reserved for situations with compelling evidence, such as a court order from Estonia. Transparency and Fairness – Our dispute resolution process is clear, fair, and allows you to appeal decisions and present your perspective. Transparency is our watchword. The Golden Principle of Self-Doubt – We acknowledge that making decisions in domain management can be difficult. We ensure careful consideration, ongoing re-evaluation, expert consultation, and a balance between enforcing policies and adapting to unique cases. This thoughtful approach is what makes Trustname unique in its class. Unlike other registrars who find it easier to just de-list reported domains unfairly, we take the time needed weeks or even months to thoroughly investigate, giving you ample opportunity to resolve any issues. Trustname upholds these principles in every aspect of our services. By following these standards, we aim to build trust and provide the best possible experience for our customers. We only care about your satisfaction and security. Your Domain Name Is Secure With Trustname At Trustname, we understand how complex online disputes can be. To ensure you are treated fairly, we require that each complaint be supported with concrete evidence of infringement. This approach means we never take action unless it's both fair and justified. [+] [Callout] Success Insert title here [+] [Callout] Title/Title with Icon -> Our commitment extends to handling DNS abuse reports and disputes with a presumption of your innocence. Domain owners have rights that many registrars overlook, often suspending domains after only a few complaints. Trustname will only take action when supported by clear legal grounds or required by competent authorities, particularly a court order from Estonia. All other unclear cases are carefully reviewed and, in most situations, dismissed. This policy reflects our commitment to protecting your web address and brand’s reputation while resolving complaints efficiently and judiciously. These guiding principles form the backbone of our ethical and responsible approach to domain registration and management. Who Is Trustname?
